Powered by a Kubota D722 Three Cylinder 719cc Diesel engine. Fuel efficient, reliable, and water-cooled, the Z722 is directly coupled to the generator to minimize power loss. There is also no drive belt to adjust on the GL9000D, reducing maintenance costs and downtime. Kubota’s D722 engine incorporates a TVCS combustion system which improves the air and fuel mix, resulting in cleaner emissions.
The GL9000D is digitally controlled by a DSE4520 module. The DSE4520 offers automated start procedures, and allows monitoring of generator and load power, engine RPM, and current, plus offering safety features such as overload protection and unbalanced load alarms to protect the alternator
Accessing the engine is easy, with just single sided access for inspection and maintenance of the engine and fuel system. Oil and coolant drain plugs are located on the outer case of the generator.
The GL9000D has an impressive run time of 8.5 hours at 3/4 load, and the quiet built-in muffler keeps the noise levels down to 68 dBA at 7 metres.
A Residual Current Device is factory fitted and offers a high level of protection to the operator from electrical shock, and provides high levels of protection from potential electrical fires. The factory fitted circuit breakers offer protection against sudden overloads of electrical flow or large power loads potentially destroying electrical equipment.
